FAKE TERROR – THE ROAD TO DICTATORSHIP

Excellent read. All truth.

It’s the oldest trick in the book, dating back to Roman times; creating the enemies you need.In 70 BC, an ambitious minor politician and extremely wealthy man, Marcus Licinius Crassus, wanted to rule Rome. Just to give you an idea of what sort of man Crassus really was, he is credited with invention of the fire brigade. But in Crassus’ version, his fire-fighting slaves would race to the scene of a burning building whereupon Crassus would offer to buy it on the spot for a tiny fraction of it’s worth. If the owner sold, Crassus’ slaves would put out the fire. If the owner refused to sell, Crassus allowed the building to burn to the ground. By means of this device, Crassus eventually came to be the largest single private land holder in Rome, and used some of his wealth to help back Julius Caesar against Cicero.

Blessed Ignorance

I am, by no means, always correct in my thinking. Intellectual and pragmatic, I certainly hope so. The issue of the “War On Terror” continues to be a great discussion point across the web, on our televisions, and all other media outlets. My thoughts on the topic have evolved since 9/11. Over the next few weeks, I intend to post my most up to date thoughts on the subject. As I research through the history books, my theories evolve further.

I think a good place to start would be a few quotes from history’s most hated man.

“How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don’t think.” – Adolf Hitler

“All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.” – Adolf Hitler

Chew on those statements for a moment.

Fear is a very powerful motivation. It’s a feeling. Fear is the greatest propaganda tool. Hitler knew this and used it to accomplish his goals. Was it a false fear? Yes, a fear of Jews, Gypsies, Commies, and every other sort. He created that fear, knowing that the average citizen is too lazy to think and analyze a situation. Hitler knew that by standing up and explaining his goals of ruling all of Europe would not bring the masses behind his plans. This fear began with the burning of the Reichstag, which was blamed on Communists. This fear fed him power.

I am not suggesting there is a single person, similar to Hitler, behind the “War on Terror” and 9/11. No, I don’t believe that to be the case. I do however believe that the method of using fear to convince the lazy thinkers is just as logical today as it was then. I believe that if our Leaders stood up and explained the truth behind the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, 90% of Americans would fall asleep instead of falling in behind their Leadership. Trust me, my thoughts are not sexy, no conspiracies, no New World Order, nothing glamorous at all.

So stay tuned, there will be quite a few posts on this topic.
